Generally:

Site morale and commitment remains high and all trades are working well together. We have an average workforce of 25 tradesmen and no accidents or incidents have been reported.

Last week the tower crane was removed site management accommodation was relocated enabling the site entrance to be established in the final position of the completed development.

External Progress:

The roof slating is now complete. Fascias, soffits and barge boards have received paint finish and guttering has been installed to 75% of the roof.

Render to front and rear dormer window is complete and windows are installed to the seaward elevation dormer windows. Blockwork and stonework cladding to the timber frame is continuing and expected to be complete during next week in readiness for external render application.

Boundary walls have been constructed along the western edge of the car park. Work is beginning on the fencing to the southern retaining wall the roadside stone boundary walls. Excitingly the scaffolding is being removed from the eastern, southern and western ends of the building revealing the finished character of the building.

Internal Progress:

Walls and ceilings in Apartments 8, 9 and 2 (show Apartment) have received plasterboard and plaster skim coat in readiness for decoration.

Screed has been laid in Apartments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 12a, and 14 together with level - 1 corridor.

Electrical first fix has been completed in Apartments 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,12,12a,14 and 15.

The under-floor heating installation has been completed Apartments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 12a and 14.

The air-source heat pumps (Nibe units) are now being installed along with shower trays and baths in the bathrooms, WCs and en-suites.

The internal staircases have been fitted in Apartments 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 as has the feature communal staircase.

Next week's activities:

Further windows will be installed following render operations and work will commence on the roadside boundary wall.

Internally more Apartments will be plastered and boarding to the timber frame will commence. In addition ceramic tiling will begin in Apartments 8, 9 and 2.

Internal stairs to Apartments 12, 12a, 14 and 15 will be installed and the last of the floor screed will be laid to Apartments 11, 15, 16 and corridor to level -2.
