Construction update images of Saunton Sands

Generally:

The project is entering an exciting stage with the opening of the show apartment and its associated external areas on Saturday 11th July.

Scaffolding is being dropped from the front elevation as the building envelope is nearing completion and 75% of the external windows are installed.

Site morale and commitment remains high and all trades are working well together. We have an average workforce of 27 tradesmen working for 10 subcontractors and no accidents or incidents have been reported.

External Progress:

The timber groynes dividing the garden duplexes are being installed along with balcony finishes and terrace paving. Landscaping works have commenced to the Western and Southern areas of the development.

The roadside perimeter and entrance of the development has replaced the Oceanpoint hoarding. The roadside boundary walls are in construction with the stonework progressing well.

Internal Progress:

Apartments 8, 9 and 2 are being fitted with doors and frames and decoration has commenced. Ceramic tiling is occurring in all wet areas in these apartments in readiness for sanitary ware fitting.

Internal staircases have been fitted in all apartments. Plastering is well advanced in apartments 12, 13, 14 and 15.

Comment for the coming week:

Externally landscaping works will be progressed and more timber groynes will be erected. The remaining external tri-fold doors will be installed and the finishes to balconies completed.

Internally plastering will continue and the finishing tradesmen will focus on completing the apartments sequentially.
